About The Position

Cornerstone Family Healthcare is actively recruiting for a Program Supervisor to join our growing team in Newburgh. General Purpose: The Program Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the operation of Community Programs’ prevention programs. The Supervisor’s responsibilities include staff management and training, program development and contract compliance for HIV/HCV/STI testing programs, sexual health risk reduction strategies and interventions, and referrals and linkages among priority populations within the catchment region. Additionally, the position will assist in oversight of the testing labs located in the CBO offices (Westchester, Ulster, Orange, and Dutchess Counties).

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in education, health and human services, social work or related field.
  • One year’s experience with HIV and/or STI screening, testing and prevention and two years supervisory experience.
  • Alternatively, an Associate’s degree with two years’ experience with HIV/HCV/STI screening, testing and prevention interventions, PrEP, and two years supervisory experience.
  • Additionally, two years of experience with PWUD/PWID and three years supervisory experience, knowledge of HIV/AIDS, mental health and/or community resources

Responsibilities

  • Manage and conduct interventions, HIV/HCV/STI testing and risk assessments to ensure services are effective and recruiting the appropriate priority populations.
  • Supervise and develop staff to ensure follow through on data entry, reporting, recruitment for and delivery of interventions, and adherence to program standards so that quality services are provided.
  • Develop and implement programs through administrative supervision of staff and programs, resulting in programs operating at maximum efficiency and are consistent with the most current data trends and funder guidelines.
  • Track and monitor contract deliverables to maintain contracts.
  • Conduct outreach events and educational presentations according to program standards to recruit eligible clients.
  • Supervision and oversight of contract programs and staff.
  • Provide training, treatment and testing updates for staff.
  • Conduct and oversee staff’s screening, intake, enrollment, referrals and follow-up of clients in the programs.
  • Provide and oversee staff’s HIV/HCV/STI testing (rapid, fingerstick, venipuncture, urine as appropriate), counseling, referrals, and partner services.
  • Provide and oversee staff’s coordination with provider(s), increasing access and availability of services to priority population.
  • Prepare reports in accordance with funders’ requirements and ensure that all required data is entered into the AIDS Institute’s Reporting System (AIRS) and eCW (agency EMR).
  • Implement quality control activities, including the maintenance of client charts in accordance with program standards and in compliance with goals and objectives in the annual workplan.
  • Conduct outreach and recruitment activities using program presentations to service providers, Social Media networking strategies and the engagement of community organizations and key community members.
  • Provide health education and risk reduction prevention interventions and services to include CDC DEBIs and homegrown interventions.
  • Conduct community assessments to ensure that the programs are reaching the priority populations.
  • Review and assess the demands for services in the targeted communities and develop and/or readjust programming as needed.
  • Participate in management, program and department meetings.
  • Assist in program coverage when required.
  • Perform other relevant duties as assigned.
