About The Position

The Assistant Program Manager supports planning and coordination of program activities within the Strategic Consulting division. This role assists the Program Manager with tracking schedules, progress, budgets, documentation, and communication.

Requirements

  • Superlative organizational and time management skills
  • Good communication skills
  • Familiarity with project management tools
  • Basic understanding of rail industry a plus
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Familiar with Salesforce and NetSuite
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field
  • 2–4 years of project coordination or support experience

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in engineering, transportation, or consulting
  • Exposure to rail projects preferred
  • Participation in AREMA is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Assist in tracking project schedules and deliverables
  • Maintain a consistent list of both inbound and active projects
  • Support development of program documentation
  • Coordinate communication across teams
  • Help monitor budgets and forecasts
  • Support preparation of presentations and correspondence
  • Assist with organizing program meetings
  • Contribute to process improvements
  • Support compliance with FRA, AREMA, and internal standards
  • Other duties as assigned or required to meet business needs
