About The Position

The 4-H Civic Engagement/Leadership Technician's primary responsibility is to provide support to the 4-H Civic Engagement/Leadership Instructor in reference to 4-H civic engagement/leadership district, state, and national events/activities; along with supporting the 4-H ambassador and state officer teams as needed.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s degree in a related field of study is required.
  • Ability to perform tasks such as lifting, standing, walking, and operating technology.
  • Excellent communication and writing skills
  • Strong attention to detail, strong organizational skills, strong time management skills and the ability to handle several tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team; must be self-motivated and directed with the ability to achieve measurable results.
  • Demonstrated positive interpersonal skills and willingness to serve different audiences.
  • Knowledge and efficient with modern office methods including email and Microsoft Office products, i.e. Outlook, Excel, and Word.

Nice To Haves

  • One to three years of experience working with youth and adults in educational settings.
  • Experience in coordinating volunteers.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license and appropriate vehicle insurance.
  • Previous work experience with Extension 4-H Youth Development and/or Extension preferred.
