Programming Assistant

EastView at Middlebury is seeking full or part time compassionate, creative, and energetic Programming Assistants to join our Community Life team. In this role, you will help plan and lead engaging activities that enrich the lives of our residents and foster a strong sense of community, purpose, and joy. Requirements
- A friendly, patient, and compassionate team player.
- Creative and energetic with strong communication skills.
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods and safely assist residents.
Nice To Haves
- Experience working with older adults, especially those with dementia, is preferred.
- High school diploma or GED prefered.
Responsibilities
- Lead and assist with group and one‑on‑one activities (arts, music, exercise, games, outings, etc.).
- Adapt programs to meet individual needs, including residents with dementia.
- Support residents with encouragement, redirection, and mobility assistance.
- Set up and clean activity spaces; escort residents to and from programs.
- Observe participation and document engagement.
- Help maintain materials, equipment, and a vibrant community environment.
