About The Position

Responsible for directly managing staff in the planning, coordination, implementation and maintenance of diverse projects. Focuses on meeting project commitments, including communications with sponsors, stakeholders, etc. Description Location: This hybrid position is full-time (40-hours/week) Monday-Friday in a typical office environment. You will work an 8-hour shift scheduled during our normal business hours of 8:30AM-5:00PM. This role is located at 4101 Percival Road, Columbia, SC 29229. What You’ll Do: Provides staff direction for area projects, which may involve, but not be limited to training, auditing, testing, research and analysis, quality management, business change mandates, system enhancements, analysis of operating procedures, quality control activities, strategic planning, performance monitoring, compliance activities, etc. Identifies business requirements. Supports new business implementations or acquisitions. Facilitates the definition of project missions, goals, tasks, and resource requirements, service levels, and customer requirements. Maintains effective communication with stakeholders during all phases of projects. Resolves or assists in the resolution of conflicts within and between projects or functional areas. Ensures compliance, performance standards, and improvement of procedures and processes. Assists in the identification of potential process improvements and cost savings. Manages project budget and resource allocation including scheduling, planning, reporting, development and implementation within timelines and budgets.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • 4-years job related work experience OR Associate's and 2-years job related work experience.
  • 5-years of related project management or operations experience.
  • 2 years of team leadership/supervisory experience OR 2-years of equivalent military experience in grade E4 or above.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent and effective communication and management skills.
  • Strong knowledge of business process engineering methodology.
  • Ability to communicate complex information with understanding to a variety of audiences who have different levels of experience and knowledge.
  • Advanced analytical and decision-making skills.
  • Thorough understanding of project management phases, techniques and tools.
  • Ability to recognize problems or situations that are new or without clear precedent and offer solutions.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Healthcare, Training, Mathematics, Information Technology, or other job-related field.
  • Experience in healthcare or insurance industry.
  • Experience leading project teams from inception through implementation phases.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP)
