About The Position

Saber Power Services, a portfolio company of Greenbelt Capital Partners, is a fully integrated electrical power system services firm providing end-to-end solutions across utility, renewables and battery storage, industrial, petrochemical, and other markets.  Based in Houston, Texas, Saber Power offers deep subject matter expertise and uses an engineering-led approach to designing, installing, testing, and maintaining medium and high-voltage electrical infrastructure. Saber serves clients locally, nationally, and abroad.

Position Summary: 

The Project Billing Specialist will be responsible for generating project breakdowns for billing, assisting with client requests, and customer balance maintenance. The position reports directly to the Accounting Manager in the Accounting and will work closely with Project Managers. 

The successful candidate is comfortable with reviewing and tracking job costs including analyzing job status and progress. Familiarity with the construction or service industry will provide an advantage to the right candidate.  This position is expected to work with limited supervision and take initiative to support the department’s goals and objectives in a professional manner.

Requirements

• Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel
• 3+ years of hands-on project/job tracking experience
• Familiar with conditional and unconditional lien waivers
• Organized, detail-oriented, and driven individual 
• Excellent communication skills – written and verbal
• Ability to prioritize and strong problem-solving skills
• Must have the ability to multitask in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment
• Must have a professional and positive attitude

Nice To Haves

• Construction or service industry experience is a plus

Responsibilities

• Analyze and extract relevant invoice requirements from project contracts, customer Master Service Agreements, and purchase orders.
• Review new job set-up requests for completeness.
• Collaborate with Project Managers on billable project costs, create and maintain AIA G702 payment applications as needed.
• Prepare invoice in the system, apply sales tax and retention rules, and send to client.
• Ability to generate creative solutions to customer requests
• Collection efforts on past due customer accounts.
• Promote good safety culture (We work safely, or not at all).
• Perform other job-related duties as requested by management.
