About The Position

We’re seeking a Project Controls Analyst to join our Business Performance team in our Canonsburg, PA office. This position plays a vital role in helping Lighthouse deliver projects efficiently and profitably by tracking productivity, monitoring costs, and providing accurate performance data to project and executive leadership. Reporting to the Project Controls Manager, this role supports project teams across all phases - from budgeting and forecasting to reporting and continuous improvement. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and eager to collaborate with both the office and field teams to ensure our projects stay on track and aligned with company goals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Construction Management, or two (2)+ years of related experience.
  • Knowledge of job cost accounting principles and project financial tracking.
  • Experience with accounting or project management software (Workday preferred).
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and strong overall computer skills.
  • Excellent organization, attention to detail, and multitasking ability.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
  • Self-motivated and proactive approach with the ability to meet deadlines.

Nice To Haves

  • Understanding of building construction or electrical construction processes (preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Work with the Project Controls Manager to maintain accurate budgets and cost reporting throughout each project.
  • Assist in implementing and maintaining the Earned Value Management process, including forecasting, baselining, and measuring earned value.
  • Coordinate with estimating and project teams to ensure budgets and change orders are correctly allocated.
  • Integrate data from estimating, scheduling, design, project management, and accounting to produce comprehensive reports for clients and leadership.
  • Track quantities and labor hours to identify productivity trends and variances and communicate findings to management and field teams.
  • Conduct regular jobsite visits to assess performance, engage with field teams, and gather feedback for improvement.
  • Support monthly billing preparation and validation across multiple contract types.
  • Assist with project-level cash flow reporting and generate ad hoc reports as needed.
