The primary role of this position is to develop and maintain project controls practices on assigned projects with the goal to meet scope, schedule, and budget performance. This role will work alongside the Program and Project Managers to establish project controls approaches for projects and partner with project leadership to actively monitor project performance and identify deficiencies. This role will primarily support projects in HDR’s transportation business group (e.g. transit, highways, and local agency) but will also support projects across HDR’s other services lines (water, building engineering services, and resources). This role is expected to play a central role in project and program delivery assessing the project’s health and KPIs. Depending on the size of the project or program, this role will coordinate with other project controls specialists for schedule, cost, risk, earned value, document control, and PMIS (Project Management Information System).
