About The Position

As a Project Coordinator, you will assist in planning and coordinating the activities of projects to ensure that goals and objectives are accomplished within prescribed time frames and according to project budget and specification requirements. In this role, you will be a key team member in project field documentation. You will be directly involved in witnessing installation projects, quality control and documentation tracking of contractors working on a project. This position offers an exciting opportunity to participate in the development of processes and procedures to support the rapid growth of the company with a career path to a Building Automation System Specialist position within Chinook. This position is located ON-SITE with our customer in Arlington, VA.

Requirements

  • Must have a Bachelor’s Degree and knowledge in HVAC, Building Automation Systems, Construction, Architecture or another related field. A High School Diploma and 4 years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Must be proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, MS Project, PowerPoint).
  • Requires a Valid State Issued Driver's License and the ability to travel to various work sites.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen and be able to obtain and maintain up to a Top-Secret clearance due to our customer requirements and the nature of the work that we do.

Nice To Haves

  • An Active Secret or higher Security Clearance.
  • Certified Documentation Technician (CDT).
  • Project Management Professional (PMP).

Responsibilities

  • Assist the management team with the development, creation and distribution of project reports and presentation materials.
  • Collaborate with the project management team to ensure projects are on time and reporting is accurate per delivery schedules.
  • Execute developed project plans from the project management team.
  • Maintain project process documents such as Transmittal Log, Issues Log, Punch list, Test Results.
  • Record project meetings and distribute meeting summaries accordingly.
  • Maintain project compliance documents like Quality Assurance, Manpower, and Safety.
  • Collect and review closeout documents in support of successful transitions and acceptance of projects to real property.
  • Provide excellent customer service.
  • Quickly, learn new terminology, software tools and processes.
  • Use your excellent scheduling and project database management skills to assist on keeping projects on track and organized.
