About The Position

Under the supervision of the Operations Officer, the Project Coordinator supports the planning, coordination, and execution of cross-functional initiatives that improve efficiency, control environment, and customer experience across consumer and business deposit products. This role partners closely with Deposit Operations, Retail Banking, Digital/IT, Compliance, Risk, Treasury, and Accounting to deliver regulatory-sound process improvements, system enhancements, and new product capabilities. This person shall possess strong project execution skills with practical understanding of deposit operations workflows and banking regulations.

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years related project coordinator experience; previous banking experience in bank deposit, and or treasury management, operations, a plus.
  • Computer proficiency with basic Microsoft Office applications (ex. Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook).
  • Working knowledge of NACHA Operating Guidelines, Regulation E, US Treasury Green Book, and other similar regulations governing payment systems.

Responsibilities

  • Conducts product and service research, assembles data for various projects or inquiries.
  • Lead deposit operations projects from approved research through implementation, overseeing kickoff, coordination, testing, and successful go live.
  • Build and manage project plans, scope, milestones, dependencies, and resource needs.
  • Provide clear status reporting to sponsors and leadership.
  • Ensure projects meet timelines, quality standards, and regulatory/operational requirements.
  • Partner with Operations and vendors to define requirements and implement enhancements across core banking, digital channels, account opening, fraud tools, imaging/workflow, statement platforms, etc.
  • Evaluate automation opportunities (workflow tools, RPA, forms digitization, rules engines) to improve processes and reduce risk.
  • Embed strong controls into new processes, including monitoring, reconciliation, and exception handling.
  • Drive organization change through communication plans, training approaches, and post-implementation support.
  • Establish monitoring dashboards and post-implementation reviews; ensure benefits realization.
  • Assist with and between the Bank and service bureau contacts for services related to Operations.
  • Other tasks assigned.
