About The Position

Spearscapes, a divison of Mammoth, is looking for a versatile and driven Project Designer to join our growing team. We are searching for a candidate who is creative, forward thinking, detail oriented, and work effectively in a collaborative team environment while also working autonomously on given tasks. This role will involve design and concept development working in conjunction with Project Manager, coordinating with internal architectural, engineering, construction, and estimating teams. JOB LOCATION: Meriden, Kansas SALARY: TBD, Based on Qualifications +Benefits

Requirements

  • Self-motivated and self-disciplined in a collaborative studio and inter-disciplinary environment
  • Professional verbal and written communication skills
  • Understanding of client communications, contract documentation, project scheduling, team leadership, building design, technical detailing, consultant coordination, construction administration
  • Strong work ethic and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Able to be flexible and adapt to an ever-changing work environment and prioritize tasks appropriately
  • 1-3 years of architectural design experience preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in architecture and/or equivalent comparable work experience
  • Detail and design development, construction documents, construction administration experience preferred
  • Understanding of AutoCad and various rendering software preferred
  • Proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator, Sketchup, and InDesign graphic software preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Work with Spearscapes team to develop design concepts through construction documents
  • Assist in the development of initial design, concepts, and budgetary estimates.
  • Research necessary codes and regulatory standards
  • Communicate effectively with project team members and clients
  • Work with internal Architectural, Engineering and Estimating staff at times to coordinate design solutions
  • Coordinate with Spearscapes Estimating and Construction team members in preparation of scope, design, and project approach
  • Perform construction administration duties for conformance with design intent and construction documents
