About The Position

We are seeking a motivated Assistant Project Manager to support the successful delivery of commercial construction projects across Southwest Missouri. This position is designed for individuals who are ready to grow their career in construction management while working alongside experienced Project Managers and Superintendents. The Assistant Project Manager plays a key role in coordinating project documentation, supporting cost management, assisting with scheduling efforts, and maintaining clear communication between project teams, subcontractors, and clients. This role provides hands-on exposure to all phases of construction, from preconstruction through project closeout, while building the skills necessary to grow into a Project Manager role. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred (or equivalent industry experience)
  • 1–3 years of construction industry experience preferred
  • Basic understanding of construction drawings and specifications
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with construction technology such as Procore or Bluebeam preferred
  • OSHA 10 certification preferred (or ability to obtain)

Responsibilities

  • Assist Project Managers with day-to-day project coordination.
  • Track project documentation including RFIs, submittals, change orders, and meeting notes.
  • Maintain organized project records within company systems such as Procore.
  • Support communication between the office team, field staff, subcontractors, and clients.
  • Assist with tracking project costs and maintaining cost reports.
  • Help review subcontractor invoices and progress billing documentation.
  • Support preparation and documentation of change orders.
  • Assist in maintaining project schedules and tracking project milestones.
  • Participate in subcontractor coordination meetings and planning discussions.
  • Help ensure procurement timelines align with construction schedules.
  • Work closely with Superintendents and Project Managers to resolve project issues.
  • Support coordination between design teams, subcontractors, and suppliers.
  • Assist in documenting project progress and maintaining project reporting.
  • Help ensure project documentation aligns with contract requirements.
  • Support adherence to company safety standards and OSHA requirements.
  • Assist with project closeout documentation including warranties, as-builts, and operation manuals.
