About The Position

Paramount Global is seeking an Environmental Remediation Engineer, Geologist, or Scientist to support environmental legacy management operations. This role involves technical oversight, project planning, regulatory compliance, and stakeholder commitment for complex remediation projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a science-related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in environmental site investigation and remediation involving soil, groundwater, surface water, sediment, and vapor intrusion.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for complex concepts; ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work individually.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with sites impacted by PCBs, VOCs, or former mining/smelter operations with metals contamination.
  • Proven leadership in investigation and remediation activities, including planning and review of remedial investigations, risk assessments, feasibility studies, remedial design, and construction oversight.
  • Expertise in financial tracking and planning throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Knowledge of water treatment plant design, operation, and maintenance.
  • Experience with large-scale dredging projects.
  • OSHA HAZWOPER certification.

Responsibilities

  • Review and provide technical evaluation of consulting engineering firms’ work products to ensure compliance with project requirements.
  • Develop and manage budgets for site investigations, remediation activities, and long-term operations/maintenance; communicate financial plans to management.
  • Monitor progress and costs of consulting engineers on large, long-term projects against established estimates.
  • Create and maintain project schedules; track performance against timelines and deliverables.
  • Prepare Requests for Proposals (RFPs) for major tasks; evaluate bids for compliance and recommend contract awards.
  • Draft technical scopes for contractual documents.
  • Interpret and apply regulatory guidance for site investigations and remediation activities.
  • Communicate with regulatory agencies regarding project progress and schedules.
  • Collaborate with management to develop strategies for site closure.
  • Conduct site visits to assess conditions, review contractor performance, and engage with stakeholders.
