About The Position

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Project Engineer II to join our team. The Project Engineer II works at the intersection of sales and engineering, helping our clients understand and implement our products and solutions. You will communicate face to face with our sales staff and customers to identify project needs and provide technical support through the sales process. At this level, the Project Engineer II applies a broader knowledge of engineering principles, contributes to moderately complex projects, and works with increased independence in supporting both sales and project execution.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • 5-10 years in a related engineering field or engineering employment at MIRATECH.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical clients.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills, with the ability to meet project deadlines, solve problems, and develop creative solutions.
  • Ability to work independently on moderately complex technical tasks and produce high-caliber deliverables.
  • Familiarity with CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce) or technical documentation software.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Proficiency with SolidWorks CAD or equivalent.
  • Commitment to MIRATECH and a positive contribution to company culture.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to customer inquiries regarding product specifications, features, and integration capabilities
  • Communicate with and educate our sales staff and customers on our technical solutions.
  • Ensure proposed solutions are correctly sized and constructed to meet quality standards.
  • Support and lead portions of the creation of proposals, quotes, and technical documentation for potential clients.
  • Participate in sales meetings and contribute technical insights during customer negotiations.
  • Support operations and project managers in project execution, including more complex scopes.
  • Estimate project costs and consult on product design with sales and production teams.
  • Installation and troubleshooting service work for new and custom products in the field.
  • Create tools for matured products to transition to Catalyzer or other teams.
  • Contribute to process improvements, design refinements, and cross-functional technical problem solving.
