About The Position

Inside the Role DTNA Engineering Platform Management (EPM) is responsible for the project management of major new product project at DTNA, which includes product planning , technical feasibility studies, budget & schedule development, and coordination of work across impacted departments. We Take Care of Our Team Position offers a starting salary range of $104,000 – $133,000 USD Pay offered dependent on knowledge, skills, and experience. What You Drive At DTNA Manage and lead major Engineering Projects including the ownership, creation and maintenance of project schedules, budgets, costs and technical content Support project management activities including: required monthly project reporting, development of concept & feasibility studies, review of technical product specifications, and determination of project timing, scope and budgets Analysis of project deliverables against pre-established targets, & evaluation of budgeted resources vs. actual, & present project status reviews to steering committees and ensure project change requests are completed in a timely manner Ensure rigorous adherence to corporate product development processes including CVDS & DTNA Visual Project Management principles Identify/Monitor risks and concerns in C Place and ensure risks are escalated to senior management when appropriate and resolved in a timely manner Prioritize projects tasks and provide leadership in cooperation with cross functional departments including Engineering, Product Strategy, Sales, Manufacturing, Quality etc. Lead ad hoc assignments including leading any assigned task forces, executive design reviews and project feasibility studies critical to maintaining product integrity Coordinate and facilitate project related meetings such as Core teams, Management support and provide close support and maintain transparency to the PY train conductors as assigned for Decision Boards Manage development of new product technical requirements from Product Strategy roadmap & drive vehicle-specific performance objectives within Engineering Interface with global engineering teams for system wide project planning & reporting on global projects Recommend and assist with implementation of continuous improvement initiatives Build strong relationships while promoting a positive culture and team environment Knowledge You Should Bring BS/BA (Engineering, Cab/Chassis Design, Mechatronics Engineering, or Validation Engineering) or 4 year Business degree and 6+ years of relevant experience required Self-motivated, proactive individual with strong communication skills required Independently lead cross-functional project teams required Candidate must be a solid and effective communicator with good networking skills and a strong interest in Project Management required Demonstrated skills in project management processes required Knowledge and aptitude of powertrain, cab/chassis systems, electrical design, and/or vehicle software required Knowledge of product development processes required Excellent organizational and problem solving skills required Ability to work with Microsoft SharePoint, Project, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint software packages required Candidate must be well organized, able to handle multiple, detailed tasks and work professionally with various levels of DTNA management required Exceptional Candidates Might Have Knowledge and aptitude of vehicle software development preferred Knowledge of DTNA product Development processes and Daimler Trucks Product Line preferred Experience working on a DTNA project team preferred  Knowledge of the DTNA systems and business processes preferred Project Management Professional (PMP) preferred Where We Work This position is open to applicants who can work in (or relocate to) the following location(s)- Portland, OR US. Requirements
