About The Position

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer to join our Integrations team . This role serves as a technical subject matter expert supporting both pre-sales and project execution efforts. The Project Engineer collaborates closely with sales, design, project management, and operations teams to ensure successful implementation of integrated security systems including access control, video surveillance, and alarm systems. Responsibilities include technical consulting, site surveys, system programming and commissioning, documentation development, customer training, and post-project support. This position plays a key role in ensuring projects are delivered efficiently, accurately, and in alignment with company and client standards. Location : Preferred location is Washington but will consider candidates within CSG footprint. Pay : $90K - $100K year

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 35 years of experience in integrated security systems, low voltage systems, or a related technical field.
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
  • Strong technical troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent communication and customer interaction skills
  • Ability to collaborate across sales, engineering, and operations teams
  • Strong documentation and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a technical subject matter expert, partnering with sales teams and clients to support pre-sales efforts and identify solution opportunities.
  • Conduct site surveys, technical assessments, and system evaluations to support accurate system design and estimating.
  • Develop and contribute to logic diagrams, wiring diagrams, floorplan markups, and technical specifications during the design phase.
  • Act as a technical liaison between account managers and customers, translating requirements for access control, alarm, and video systems.
  • Configure system equipment and create installation documentation to support operations teams during deployment.
  • Provide onsite and remote technical training to operations teams on systems, standards, and best practices.
  • Support operations teams by troubleshooting and resolving technical issues during installation and commissioning.
  • Assist technical project management teams with project scheduling, issue resolution, and status updates.
  • Perform quality assurance reviews on installations, programming, and system functionality to ensure adherence to company, client, and industry standards.
  • Deliver post-project support, including customer training, programming assistance, and system modifications.
  • Identify opportunities for future client engagement and business growth.
  • Ensure smooth handoff from installation teams to service teams through documentation and knowledge transfer.
  • Maintain current licenses, certifications, and technical knowledge related to industry technologies.
  • Complete all required documentation and reporting in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Maintain and safeguard company and client property and confidential information.
  • Travel as needed for site surveys, project support, and client meetings (up to one week at a time).
  • Mentor and train junior technicians and team members on systems and technical processes.
  • Ensure all work complies with company quality standards and best practices.
  • Maintain a clean driving record and operate company vehicles safely.
