The Role Based in Sulphur, Louisiana — a key gateway to the Gulf Coast's petrochemical and offshore energy corridor — this role puts you at the intersection of crane engineering, mechanical handling, and offshore project management for industrial and energy clients across the region. This isn't a desk-in-the-corner role. As a Project Engineer, you'll be at the center of the action — managing crane, service, and mechanical handling projects from inquiry through close-out. You'll wear both a project management and design hat, working across a talented technical team and engaging directly with clients.

Requirements

  • Degree in Mechanical, Structural, or Civil Engineering
  • 0–5+ years in a relevant engineering or project role
  • Solid knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical control systems
  • Familiarity with cranes and/or mechanical handling equipment
  • Working knowledge of engineering standards (API, AISC, ASTM, AWS, SAE)
  • Strong technical report writing and communication skills
  • Proven ability to juggle multiple projects and work both independently and collaboratively

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in customer-facing or client liaison environments is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end project engineering: proposals, scoping, estimating, planning, execution, and close-out
  • Prepare and submit RFQ bid proposals and technical/commercial proposals for clients
  • Manage project financials, BOM preparation, procurement follow-up, and workpack development
  • Drive design project management, including engineering calculations, drawings, method statements, and implementation procedures
  • Conduct site and offshore surveys and produce detailed reports
  • Collaborate across the Technical Group to hit milestones and keep clients informed
  • Maintain engineering registers, project files, and time-writing records with precision
