About The Position

You will be the Field Engineer Associate Manager for the Javelin Joint Venture team located near the sunny Pacific coast of Los Angeles. Our team drives production control, technical oversight, and personnel management for depot level repair and sustainment of the Javelin Anti Tank Missile program—a strategic partnership between Lockheed Martin and Raytheon. We enable rapid, high quality maintenance for domestic and international customers in a fast paced, mission critical environment. What You Will Be Doing As the Field Engineer Associate Manager you will be responsible for orchestrating material, manpower, and schedule flow to keep the depot running like a well tuned engine. You’ll partner daily with the sustainment team to ensure data integrity, apply continuous improvement tools, and deliver technical excellence that translates into mission success.

Requirements

  • Experience in harness manufacturing, ordnance, and/or assembly, integration, and test (AIT) environments.
  • Knowledge of test principles, including planning, execution, and reporting in production, ordnance, or harness fabrication settings.
  • Ability and willingness to present to high level customers and Lockheed Martin executives.
  • United States citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a secret clearance.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline from an accredited college, or equivalent experience/combined education.
  • Demonstrated performance executing sustainment type contract requirements in a high volume environment.
  • Experience with contractor/organic depot operations.
  • Proven ability to work within a matrix structured organization.
  • Track record of sustained high performance.
  • Excellent communication skills with senior management and customers.
  • Strong problem solving abilities and Full Spectrum Leadership attributes.
  • Strong interpersonal communication (verbal and written) and ability to work effectively in a diverse workforce.
  • Proficiency with MS Office applications.
  • Self starter who can perform tasks with minimal supervision.

Nice To Haves

  • Active Secret clearance.
  • Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in Electrical, Aerospace, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
  • Hands on experience testing harness assemblies, ordnance, and deliverable units in a production operations environment.
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical/electrical drawings, schematics, specifications, and requirements.
  • Background in manufacturing or test engineering with solid knowledge of hardware integration and test flow development.
  • Proficiency with SAP, ePDM, DOORS Classic, CREO, CAMEO, Apriso, VECAMS, PMP Database, Lockheed Martin Automation Framework, or comparable industry tools.
  • Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills; capable of building strong relationships with customers, program managers, and team members.
  • Proven team leadership or project management experience overseeing multi functional or multi discipline groups.
  • Experience establishing new testing programs or transferring them between sites/programs.
  • Certified Test Conductor qualification.
  • Prior L code/Full Spectrum Leadership experience.
  • Experience managing logistics or technical operations.
  • Exposure to U.S. Government and Foreign Military Sales (FMS) customers.
  • Background in sustainment and repair management.
  • Working knowledge of Army regulations.
  • Experience leading, coaching, and training LSE personnel while managing technical scope, schedule, and financial aspects of LSE projects.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary crew of repair, quality, and supply technicians.
  • Supervise repair, modification, assembly, and testing of tactical and training Javelin equipment, including sub assembly integration.
  • Coordinate readiness and daily support across internal and external stakeholders, ensuring seamless hand offs.
  • Manage production control functions: material allocation, staffing, resource planning, and real time schedule adjustments for retrofits, repairs, and inspections.
  • Maintain accurate depot logistics and maintenance databases; provide technical expertise to the sustainment team.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives that shrink repair cycles and boost operational efficiency.
  • Develop, document, and enforce standard operating procedures for depot logistics and repair processes.
  • Recruit, train, and evaluate team members; oversee performance assessments, compensation decisions, and recognition programs.
  • Analyze performance data to identify trends, recommend process enhancements, and support data driven decision making.
