About The Position

GEO Consultants Corporation (GEO), a woman owned and HUBZone small business, provides best-in-class professional services to our clients. GEO is looking for a Project Geologist to support the United States Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Formerly Utilized Sites Remedial Action Program (FUSRAP) project in St. Louis, MO. The position requires the onsite, full-time support at the St. Louis FUSRAP site. This position is first shift (6:00 am-4:30 pm CST, Monday through Thursday). Perform work which involves conventional environmental, geological and hydrogeologic practices but may involve a variety of complex features and working with other disciplines. Professional support for the conduct of field investigations including placement of groundwater wells and soil borings, collection of geotechnical samples, and analysis of collected data. Perform and direct field work to collect data necessary to complete project requirements, this includes, but is not limited to, core logging, sample collection (soil, water, groundwater, and air), hydraulic testing, measurements, and keeping detailed records of activities. Complete and submit written reports and logbooks. Such formal documents will be used for recording all significant geotechnical and field activities including problems encountered, corrective actions, monitoring actions and survey activities. Maintaining a daily log which reflects the conditions and controls imposed at each location where sampling activities and well installation are being performed. Assist in preparation of planning documents (Work Plans, Sampling Plans, Quality Control Plans, Safety Plans, etc.) Assist in preparation of technical documents, analysis of data, and reporting of findings. Conducting other tasks as assigned to maintain continuity of operations.

Requirements

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Must meet and maintain HTRW fit-for-duty medical requirements, drug-free workplace, and security requirements.
  • Pass a preemployment physical, background check, and drug screen.
  • Ability to stand or sit for extended periods, lift moderate weights (typically up to 50 lbs).
