This Project Management Intern will support our Amazon Execution Organization, and is crafted for those who eager to jump in and get real life experience as a project manager. This role is designed for a student interested in learning project management fundamentals while supporting real project activities. The intern will work closely with project managers, contribute to standardization efforts, and gain hands-on exposure to customer-facing documentation and processes. The salary range for this internship is $17-$24/hr. Requirements

  • You must be a full-time student at an accredited U.S. college or university
  • Actively pursuing a degree in business, engineering, or a related field
  • Currently a sophomore, junior, or senior
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented with a passion for bringing order to complexity
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Comfortable working independently and handling multiple tasks
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel and PowerPoint)

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with SharePoint is a plus
  • Interest in project management, CI or business operations

Responsibilities

  • Assist project managers by contributing to key project documents and customer-facing materials.
  • Help standardize customer documentation (e.g., level setting, expectations, formatting consistency).
  • Build and maintain standard project manager templates
  • Automate routine for PM reporting (e.g., safety hours, master tracker updates, Smartsheet data, scorecards).
  • Support weekly metrics and scorecard consistency across projects.
  • Organize and standardize weekly project updates
  • Learn and use project management tools (Smartsheet, MS Project, MS Office Suite).
  • Maintain accuracy of schedule data and support schedule reviews.
  • Participate in team calls and observe real PM challenges, risks, and mitigation strategies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional team members and build professional relationships.
  • Option to participate in the broader DEM Summer Internship Program.
