About The Position

Daifuku Airport America Corporation is a subsidiary of Daifuku North America a group company of Daifuku in Japan - the largest material handling company in the world. Our advanced systems move everything from car bodies at auto plants to luggage at airports to packaged goods at warehouses. We are known as experts in engineering, manufacturing, and servicing innovative automated materials handling systems including conveyors, automatic guided vehicles, automated storage & retrieval systems, and integrated controls. The company is currently seeking a PM Intern . Reporting to the Executive Manager Of Project Management and working closely with the project management team, in this role you will ensure the effective development and delivery of Airport Baggage Handling systems to our customers. You will participate in a cross functional team of mechanical, electrical and software engineers as well as subcontractors and other resources, to design, install and commission customer solutions to some of the world's largest airports. You will bring a support to the organization that is indispensable to the success of our business and the customers we serve.

Requirements

  • Strong communication skills and the ability and willingness to approach complex tasks and drive them to completion.
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and other common applications.
  • Ability to create professional communications including proper grammar, spelling and proofreading skills.
  • Work well under pressure, are comfortable with change and complexity in dynamic environments; can shift readily between the "big picture" and the small-but-crucial details, knowing when to concentrate on each.
  • Successful project execution supported through relationship building will likely necessitate travel and a commitment to support the stakeholders and key contributors of the project, at all costs.
  • Remain stationary for 50% of the time; move/traverse throughout the office to access file cabinets and office equipment; operate a computer and other productivity machinery; inspect documents; communicate with others through talking/hearing; read/identify/assess forms and correspondence.

Responsibilities

  • Administrative support of ATec projects, including material tracking, management of project documentation, change order requests, etc.
  • Effective communication with Project Management team members to achieve timely completion of various support tasks.
  • Use a broad and flexible toolkit of techniques to resolve complex, interdependent activities for tracking tasks and sub-tasks that are documented, monitored and controlled; Adaptation of the approach to each project, knowing that not "one size fits all".
  • Improve upon business results and seek opportunities to improve business processes.
