About The Position

The knowledge and experience gained through this program will help prepare you for your future career. Company Overview Founded in 1920, the E.S. Boulos Company (ESB) – a subsidiary of MYR Group Inc. – performs electrical construction services throughout the Northeastern U.S. We have two divisions, offering both powerline construction and commercial/industrial electrical construction, making us a full-service electrical provider. ESB’s commercial and industrial electrical construction division specializes in large-scale commercial electrical projects, telecommunications, traffic signalization, gas distribution, high voltage distribution service and maintenance. We also offer design-build and pre-construction services and has in-house pre-fabrication and AutoCAD capabilities.

Requirements

  • College sophomore or above working towards a related undergraduate degree or be currently enrolled in or attending trade school. If you are a recent graduate, you must be within 1 year of your graduation date.
  • No experience required.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to prepare and give presentations.
  • Organized and detail oriented.
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • Ability to communicate with employees and various business contacts in a professional and courteous manner.

Responsibilities

  • Control project plan by reviewing design, specifications, and plan, scheduling changes, and recommending actions
  • Manage day-to-day activities of assigned projects
  • Maintain safe and clean working environment by enforcing procedures, rules, and regulations
  • Coordinate meetings, schedule updates, submit deliverables, and address outstanding open items as required by clients
  • Report regularly to management team
  • Prepare project status reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing information and trends; recommend actions
  • Prepare look-ahead documents and weekly, monthly progress reports and billing information
  • Prior to the end of their internship, the intern will create and present a self-reflection project detailing their gained industry knowledge, future career goals, as well as personal and professional growth. The presentation will be provided in PowerPoint and presented to their direct management team.
  • Participation in the Lunch & Learn internship program provided by the MYR Group Internship Leadership team.
