You are the key liaison between the Port, consultants, and contractors. You lead the effort in defining project scopes, developing comprehensive bid documents, and ensuring every project conforms to its defined budget and schedule. You also work closely with our internal team to keep them informed of projects' progress and decisions, solicit feedback throughout the process, and manage environmental cleanup projects, acting as a vital link with government stakeholders. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field plus at least 5 years of project management experience (or an equivalent combination), including knowledge of relevant laws, codes, and permitting
  • A proactive, self-motivated leader with strong organizational skills, independent management expertise, and high ethical standards
  • You excel at relationship building and multitasking under pressure with meticulous detail-orientation
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, and SharePoint)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to analyze and synthesize complex engineering, construction, and legal materials
  • Familiarity with laws, codes, and permitting requirements relevant to marine, industrial, commercial, and aviation sectors
  • Valid driver's license and ability to obtain a TWIC card
  • Ability to perform essential physical tasks, including performing fieldwork on construction sites, which involves navigating uneven or slippery surfaces and climbing stairs and ladders
  • Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors, with appropriate safety gear provided
