About The Position

Dover Precision Components is hiring a Project Manager- Engineering for our FW Murphy Production Controls brand, located at our Rosenberg, TX facility. WHAT YOU’LL DO In this role, you will oversee and coordinate all aspects of engineering projects from inception to completion. This role ensures that projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget, while aligning with organizational goals. The Engineering Project Manager will work closely with engineering teams, cross-functional stakeholders, and external partners to ensure seamless execution of project objectives and deliverables.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in project management, preferably in an engineering or technical field.
  • Proven experience leading cross-functional project teams.
  • Strong knowledge of project management methodologies and tools (e.g., Agile PLM).
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
  • Familiarity with engineering processes, standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in project management software such as Microsoft Project or similar tools.
  • Strong planning, organizational, analytical, communication and collaboration skills.
  • Proven ability to develop collaborative relationships, positively motivate team, and influence across organizational lines.

Nice To Haves

  • RACI project management methodology experience.
  • PMP certification.
  • Experience in Lean, Total Quality Management, Six Sigma, or similar environment.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all phases of engineering product development and engineering technology projects, including planning, execution, monitoring, and closing.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to define project scope, goals, and deliverables.
  • Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and cost estimates.
  • Lead project meetings and coordinate communication between internal teams and external partners.
  • Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure projects meet compliance, quality, and safety standards.
  • Prepare and present status reports to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Manage changes in project scope, schedule, and costs to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Foster a collaborative environment and drive continuous improvement within the engineering team.
