An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Project Manager to lead the delivery of a major national research initiative within the Centre for Medicine Use & Safety (CMUS). Reporting to the Principal Investigator, you will oversee the implementation of the Enhancing the Management of Chronic Respiratory Conditions in Primary Care (EMPIRIC) project. This innovative study explores how collaboration between general practitioners, pharmacists and nurses—supported by augmented artificial intelligence—can improve the early diagnosis of COPD and asthma in primary care. This multi-phase project includes the co-design of an integrated model of care, a prospective case-finding study in community pharmacies, and a nested cluster randomised controlled trial in general practice, alongside economic evaluation and knowledge translation activities. Working across five Australian states, you will coordinate project activities, manage timelines and budgets, and collaborate closely with investigators, clinicians and external partners to ensure successful delivery of project milestones. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to impactful health services research aimed at improving the detection and management of chronic respiratory disease in primary care.
