About The Position

itD is seeking a Project Manager III to support Company’s rapidly expanding 1st Party (1P) Retail organization. This role is critical to the successful launch and operation of Company Lab retail stores, driving the execution of complex, cross-functional initiatives that power the operational and technological foundation of in-store experiences. The ideal candidate brings deep experience in project/program management within DTC consumer electronics, technology, or premium hospitality, along with a proven track record of delivering retail systems implementations from planning through execution in fast-paced, ambiguous environments. Location: Hybrid (3 days/week onsite) Preferred Locations: Burlingame, CA (Top Preference); Menlo Park, CA; Los Angeles, CA; or New York, NY We provide comprehensive medical benefits, a 401k plan, paid holidays, and more. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • 5+ years of experience in project or program management within a Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) consumer electronics retailer, manufacturer, technology company, or premium hospitality organization.
  • Proven expertise using project management tools such as JIRA, Asana, MS Project, Wrike, or equivalent platforms.
  • Strong experience with productivity tools (Microsoft, Apple, Google Workspace).
  • Deep hands-on experience implementing and supporting retail systems, including POS, ERP, CRM, AV, and in-store demo technologies.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple stakeholders, navigate ambiguity, and drive execution in complex environments.

  • PMP, Agile, or similar project/portfolio management certification.
  • Experience working within a technology company.
  • Demonstrated ability to leverage AI tools to improve efficiency and productivity.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and deliver complex, cross-functional projects across the full lifecycle, from initiation through execution and completion.
  • Serve as a key liaison between technical and non-technical teams, translating complex technical requirements into clear plans and actionable next steps.
  • Break down complex initiatives into structured workstreams, applying systematic approaches to ensure on-time and high-quality delivery.
  • Exercise sound judgment to select and apply appropriate project management techniques, even when operating with limited direction.
  • Operate effectively in fast-moving, ambiguous environments while maintaining focus on execution and outcomes.
  • Collaborate closely with Retail Operations, Product Marketing, Enterprise Systems, Retail Design & Implementation, Retail Finance, and Product Management teams.
  • Drive the implementation and enhancement of retail technologies, including POS, ERP, CRM, AV, and in-store demo systems.
  • Curate and present clear project updates, risks, dependencies, and progress to leadership and senior stakeholders.
  • Attend regular internal practice community meetings.
  • Collaborate with your itD practice team on industry thought leadership.
  • Complete client case studies and learning material (blogs, media material).
  • Build out material to contribute to the Digital Transformation practice.
  • Attend internal itD networking events (in person and virtual).
  • Work with leadership on career fast-track opportunities.
