Join our Facilities Planning & Design team as a Project Manager for Land Use & Licensing, where your expertise directly shapes safe, compliant healthcare environments. As a Project Manager, Land Use & Licensing, you’ll manage the licensing and regulatory coordination for healthcare projects, partnering closely with internal medical planning and regulatory affairs teams , external design teams, and authorities having jurisdiction . In this hybrid role based in Palo Alto, you’ll be onsite o n Mondays and Wednesdays, with flexibility to work from home on other days unless project needs require attendance. Success in this role means anticipating regulatory requirements, guiding teams through CDPH and OSHPD processes, and keeping projects moving smoothly across multiple stakeholders. With expertise across Planning, Design, Land Use & Licensing, Art, Wayfinding, Signage, and Facilities Administration, FPD turns vision into reality, creating functional, compliant, and inspiring environments aligned with Stanford Medicine’s mission. The Land Use & Licensing team guides long-range planning, entitlements, and sustainability initiatives that advance Stanford Medicine’s growth and mission. Combining expertise in architecture, planning, construction, and healthcare, the team oversees licensing, compliance, and government relations with precision and collaboration. The work ensures regulatory alignment, sustainable development, and seamless coordination across the enterprise. A Brief Overview The Design and Construction Project Manager is responsible for managing the day-to-day efforts related to programming, planning, design, construction, and activation of small projects for the Stanford Health Care (SHC) under the general supervision of the Director. Ensures completion of projects within budget, on schedule, while meeting all program objectives and appropriate governmental regulations. Also acts as a liaison between the client/users and all other project participants including consultants, contractors, vendors, and outside jurisdictional agencies.
