We’re looking for a Project Manager, Lighting controls professional that will be responsible providing on-site support, system programming, server software deployment and maintenance, system design and project delivery field support. ZIO provides leading solutions to meet the unique lighting control needs of large facilities and campuses, and this role is a fast-paced multi-faceted opportunity to work in a variety of environments. You’ll work with ZIO’s relationship management team to perform needs analysis and design solutions for new projects, our lighting projects team to provide local on-site support to commission new systems, and our world-class support team to provide ongoing support for existing systems. The position requires active participation and coordination with clients and their vendors as well as internal meetings with various people on the engineering team to fully evaluate and develop and deliver the needs of the client.

Requirements

  • Experience troubleshooting electrical systems
  • Ability to interface with a wide range of stakeholders including facilities managers, IT support, and contractors
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Ability to excel in a fast-paced work environment
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, deliverables and deadlines
  • Demonstrated knowledge of building automation systems, complex electrical systems, or installed A/V technology
  • Demonstrated knowledge of conducting needs analysis, understanding and developing budgets, determining and clarifying the scope of a project, and designing error-free solutions

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Lutron, Crestron, Acuity, ETC,
  • Experience with Windows Server Software installation and maintenance including SQL and IIS
  • College-Level Degree in Engineering, Electrical Systems, Technology, IT, or similar field of study
  • At least 1-year experience in systems integration in AV & control design
  • Related industry certifications from IES, IALD, AVIXA or similar

  • Service and Support of installed systems which involves remote and on-site troubleshooting, server maintenance and software upgrades.
  • Examine and evaluate existing systems for upgrades and modernization.
  • System commissioning, startup and programming which involves site visits at critical phases, database review, device activation, load verification, scene, schedule and other functionality customizations, button labeling/engraving.
  • Training/Closeout which involves educating the users of the system on access, operations, maintenance, and documenting field changes.
  • Troubleshoot and repair of Lutron commercial lighting control system installations.
  • Assist with procurement and installation logistics.
