About The Position

Project Manager, Problem Reporting We are looking for a Project Manager, Problem Reporting to join our Shelby team! As our Project Manager, Problem Reporting you will, lead the collection prioritization, root cause/corrective action, and reporting of all issues identified during development, requirements validation, design verification, safety of flight and flight certification campaigns of mechanical hardware, electrical hardware and software on new product introduction (NPI projects). This role is part of the Sensor and Actuation divisions electrical and software team, reporting to management of that department. You will have passion and experience leading teams in a matrix engineering organization. Location: Shelby, NC Salary: $113,900 to $164,500 + bonus opportunity Please note that the salary range information provided is a general guideline only, reflecting a position based in NC. Focusing on issues identified during the certification process and leading team of engineers to do rapid root cause/corrective actions of all issues and problem reports created. Additionally, the need to prioritize major issues from minor issues and ensure all issues are being resolved accordingly. What You Bring Must be a US Citizen A bachelor’s degree in engineering (mechanical, electrical, software, aerospace, or equivalent) is required. Electrical and/or software is strongly preferred A master’s degree in mechanical, electrical, software, or aerospace engineering or a master’s degree in business administration, or equivalent is preferred. 7-10 yrs of experience in design engineering and/or technical project management is required. 7-10yrs of experience in the aerospace, defense, industry is preferred. 7-10yrs of experience in requirements-based development per aerospace industry guidance (i.e., ARP-4754, DO-254, DO-178, DO-160) for safety-critical systems and equipment Demonstrated experience in leading cross functional teams allocated to a team leader with dotted line reporting responsibilities. Demonstrated experience leading communication with customers on technical topics, project progress, and issue resolution. Demonstrated experience using Jira Data Center software for problem reporting and task management Demonstrated experience using MS Project for project planning Demonstrated experience leading root cause / corrective action initiatives via 8D, A4, 5-why, Ishikawa, or equivalent Demonstrated experience in managing open problem reports per FAA/EASA guidance (i.e., AC20-189 / AMC 20-189) A track record of delivering results on time and within budget. A track record of developing and maintaining key performance indicators for a project team to drive execution and results relentlessly. A track record of developing technical talent, demonstrating servant leadership practices, and advocating for team members success. Requirements

  • Must be a US Citizen
