About The Position

Our work in Wyoming brings together high-design sensibilities with the challenges and beauty of building in remote, natural settings. From modern mountain homes to complex renovations, each project reflects exceptional craftsmanship and thoughtful execution. We are looking for a Project Manager to join our Wyoming team. You will work closely with a Superintendent to lead both field and office operations, overseeing planning, budgeting, team coordination, and client communication. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives in hands-on environments and enjoys managing complex logistics in extraordinary locations.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience managing high-end residential construction projects
  • Experience with project budgets ranging from $5M to $40M
  • Strong understanding of contract language, building codes, and construction technologies
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Procore, and Bluebeam is required
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and technical documentation
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and self-directed
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Collaborative and professional leadership style
  • Ability to work in both office and active construction site settings
  • Must be able to sit at a desk for extended periods, with intermittent standing, walking, bending, and climbing
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
  • Comfortable working in varied environmental conditions including heat, cold, and exposure to dust or airborne particles
  • Must be able to safely navigate ladders, stairs, and uneven job site terrain

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; architectural or engineering background is a plus
  • Experience with MS Project or Smartsheet is a strong plus.

Responsibilities

  • Lead project kickoff, contract buyout, cost tracking, billing, labor projections, change orders, and quality control
  • Develop and manage project schedules, including construction sequencing, durations, and look-ahead plans
  • Coordinate and document subcontractor scopes, submittals, RFIs, and lead times
  • Monitor budget and scope to ensure work is completed on time and under budget
  • Provide clear, consistent communication around project decisions and changes
  • Identify and mitigate risks to budget and schedule
  • Prepare and manage construction schedules, submittal logs, and meeting agendas
  • Lead bi-weekly internal meetings and OAC meetings with consultants and clients
  • Track scope changes and ensure cost and schedule implications are addressed in a timely manner
  • Serve as the main liaison between the client, architect, consultants, and internal teams
  • Foster professional, solutions-driven communication throughout the project lifecycle
  • Notify leadership of any issues that could impact project delivery or client satisfaction
  • Represent MatPel’s values and contribute to company-wide goals and team culture
  • Maintain accurate and current documentation, including drawings, submittals, RFIs, and change orders
  • Manage digital and hardcopy closeout materials, including as-built drawings, warranties, and manuals
  • Participate in After Action Reviews to assess performance against budget and scope
  • Support and mentor Assistant Project Managers and oversee the accuracy of their work
