About the Role As a Project Manager, you will lead large, complex municipal water and wastewater engineering projects, acting as the primary contact for clients and project partners. You will guide preconstruction planning, oversee field execution, direct subcontractors, and ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to the highest quality standards. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
  • Minimum 5 years of construction management experience on Water Treatment and/or Wastewater projects
  • Strong background in industrial water/wastewater design and construction (required)
  • Excellent communication, organization, and client service abilities
  • Strong sales, presentation, and relationship‑building skills
  • Energetic, self‑driven, and able to work with minimal supervision
  • Effective time‑management and prioritization
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and related tools
  • Ability to travel 50%+
  • Travel to project sites and various locations
  • Stand, walk, kneel, crouch, and lift/move 10–50 lbs
  • Perform frequent hand and finger movements for coordination and equipment use
  • Sit, talk, and hear during daily tasks

Responsibilities

  • Support project directors with RFP responses, conceptual estimates, and proposal development
  • Participate in client presentations and design review meetings
  • Monitor design progress and provide constructability feedback
  • Develop estimates, cost codes, and project cost control systems
  • Prepare bid packages, respond to inquiries, analyze bids, and award subcontracts
  • Define jobsite organizational needs with construction leadership
  • Plan, sequence, and schedule work with superintendents and subcontractors
  • Conduct onsite coordination meetings and manage project schedules
  • Maintain cost controls, labor tracking, and project status reporting
  • Coordinate permits, inspections, and regulatory approvals
  • Manage submittals from suppliers and subcontractors
  • Oversee client relationships, progress reporting, correspondence, and change order management
  • Manage invoicing, requisitions, and cash flow optimization
  • Issue and track change orders for owners and subcontractors
  • Review subcontractor performance, requisitions, and insurance compliance
  • Monitor jobsite progress, quality, and safety
  • Mentor and support career growth for construction personnel
  • Lead project close‑out and warranty activities
