Job Description: We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Project Operations Specialist with expertise in logistics. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the smooth execution of projects by managing logistics and operational aspects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in logistics, excellent communication skills, and the ability to coordinate various elements to achieve project goals. Responsibilities:?Handling all daily ocean export shipments from booking until invoicing. Providing expert advice to clients regarding logistic processes, documentation, inspections, letters of credit, general cargo, break-bulk and other shipping needs. Logistics Management: Oversee and coordinate all aspects of logistics for project operations. This includes transportation, warehousing, and distribution of goods to meet project timelines and requirements. Supply Chain Coordination: Collaborate with suppliers, vendors, and internal teams to manage the supply chain effectively. Ensure timely delivery of materials and resources needed for project implementation. Project Planning and Execution: Work closely with project managers to develop detailed project plans, considering logistics requirements. Execute plans efficiently, adjusting as needed to address unforeseen challenges. Quality Control: Implement quality control measures to ensure that all logistics and operational activities meet the established standards and comply with relevant regulations. Cost Management: Monitor and control costs related to logistics and operations. Identify opportunities for cost optimization while maintaining service levels. Risk Assessment: Identify potential risks in logistics and operations and develop mitigation strategies. Proactively address issues to prevent disruptions to project timelines. Communication and Coordination: Facilitate communication and coordination between different teams involved in project operations. Ensure that information flows seamlessly to optimize efficiency. Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation related to logistics and operational activities. Generate reports as necessary to track performance metrics. Continuous Improvement: Propose and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of logistics and operational processes.
