About The Position

Apply project management knowledge, technical and interpersonal skills, and project management tools and techniques to meet the project requirements of academic projects coordinated through the Academic Project Management Core. Work Performed Implement standard project management processes, tools and methodology to support small or medium complexity academic projects and initiatives. Consistently applying strong judgement, political acumen and standard project management methodology, processes, and tools to projects. Duties may include but are not limited to: Plan, lead, and facilitate project team meetings Develop and implement communication plans Develop detailed task lists and standard operating procedures Drive project initiation and management activities Train, manage, and mentor project team personnel Organize academic-focused events and symposia Produce documents and presentations Work with functional managers to resolve schedule and resource conflicts; escalate difficult project issues as appropriate Perform any other related duties incidental to the work described herein. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree. Additional training in Project Management or related training is desired.
  • Two years of experience in project management, with increasing scope and independence. OR AN EQUIVALENT COMBINATION OF RELEVANT EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to independently drive multiple projects at one time
  • Demonstrated experience delivering quality project outcomes and meeting project deadlines
  • Strong problem solving, strategic thinking, and time management skills
  • Knowledge of higher education administration
