About The Position

Manages all aspects of complex projects from inception to conclusion while maintaining accuracy of record keeping, safety requirements, and being mindful of budget constraints, and workforce needs.

Requirements

  • Five years field construction and
  • At least two years of previous experience in job oversite and/or Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

  • The employee is regularly required to sit.
  • The employee is frequently required to talk or hear.
  • The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, or crouch.
  • The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Responsibilities

  • Constant direct communication with assigned Project Manager
  • Direct report to General Superintendent
  • Works with General Superintendent to ensure all assigned jobs are staffed with appropriate leadership and qualified employees
  • Attends at least one job site daily safety and job task assignment meetings that is conducted by job site leadership
  • Reviews daily job site equipment inspection sheets and TSA’s
  • Schedules and coordinates job site based equipment PM’s and R&M with the Operations team
  • Ensures Cherokee Operations team is made aware of any material / equipment needs
  • Requests internal and external equipment rentals
  • Requests PO’s for any materials needed
  • Coordinates all deliveries of materials and equipment to assigned job sites
  • Reacts to all unexpected schedule changes and “emergency” situations
  • Ensures all weekend staffing, material and equipment needs are communicated and executed.
  • Works with the General Superintendent to complete annual employee reviews
  • Works with the General Superintendent to identify developmental opportunities for all field employees
  • Mentors / coaches assigned job site leadership
