The Role: We are seeking an experienced Project Surveyor to support our Survey & Mapping Team in Southern California. In this role, you will contribute to a diverse portfolio of high-impact infrastructure projects including utilities, transportation, aviation, and rail. You will work with a collaborative team of survey professionals while leveraging advanced technology such as GPS, static scanners, mobile scanners, drones, and LiDAR to support project delivery. Your work may range from developing topographic mapping to researching and analyzing complex boundary solutions.

Requirements

  • Registered Professional Land Surveyor in California
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience across all phases of surveying including public mapping (records of survey, legal descriptions, exhibits, etc.)
  • Proficiency with industry-standard surveying software and management tools
  • Knowledge of public agency codes, processes, and regulatory requirements

Responsibilities

  • Organize and coordinate projects involving a broad range of surveying and mapping assignments
  • Utilize various databases to process and manage field data
  • Maintain and manage Field Survey Data systems along with local and network operating system
  • Prepare technical mapping and final drawings for agency submittals and approvals
  • Research and analyze title reports, right-of-way/easements, ALTA surveys, topographic data, and mapping records
  • Perform survey calculations, analysis, and provide field support calculations
  • Collaborate with staff across multiple disciplines and departments
