The ideal candidate will help in the preparation of smooth, reliable, and effective financial records that are both timely and accurate.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
  • Experience with common technical accounting skills and accounting concepts, including journal entries, and balance sheets.
  • Experience with general ledger analysis.
  • Experience working with accrual basis, cash basis, and operating expenditures.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Ability to read, analyze, articulate, and compile financial reports used for business correspondence.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Bookkeeping: Records revenue and expense accruals, depreciation and amortization entries, and other journal input.
  • Accounts Payable: Reviews check runs and maintain document and vendor correspondence files.
  • Accounts Receivable: Reconciles deposit write-offs, and bad debt entries.
  • Reconciles bank accounts, accounts receivable, prepaid expenses, fixed assets, accounts payables, long-term debt, members’ equity, revenue, and expense accounts.
  • Maintain the accuracy of financial data and approve invoices.
  • Completes the company’s month-end procedures for each assigned community.
  • Assists in the preparation of monthly financial statements and supplementary reports.
  • Assists in year-end activities, including audit and tax return preparation.
  • Prepare weekly accounting reporting, including bank reconciliation and financial analysis.
  • Prepare monthly AME packet for portfolio.
