As a Property Management Accountant on the BackOffice team, a typical day for you will include: Train and support franchise owners and staff in industry software (AppFolio), accounting practices and procedures. This is a significant responsibility, as it requires the ability to train and support others on complex financial topics. Process check runs for assigned accounts three times/month or as circumstances require. This is a regular task that requires attention to detail and accuracy. Complete monthly trust account balancing. This is an important task that ensures that the trust accounts are accurate and up-to-date. Prepare/review and assist with bank account reconciliations. This is another important task that ensures that the bank accounts are accurate and up-to-date. Analyze financial information detailing income, expenses, assets, and liabilities and prepare a balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and other reports to summarize the current and projected company financial position. Requirements

  • Experience: 2-3 years of property management accounting
  • Proficiency in property management software: AppFolio, Propertyware, or similar platforms
  • Strong understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) within the business environment
