About The Position

RK&K is growing fast in the Federal Market, and we’re looking for a standout Proposal Writer (Pursuit Specialist) to join our team in Baltimore or Washington DC, who’s ready to support the effort. In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with our federal capture teams to develop competitive submissions in one of our key markets. Ideally, you’ll have 5+ years of A/E/C proposal experience, specifically supporting Federal agencies. Your background includes identifying and responding to Federal solicitations, producing high‑quality proposals using Microsoft Word and/or Adobe InDesign, and maintaining marketing data in a CRM (Deltek Vantagepoint or similar). RK&K is a full-service planning, engineering, environmental and construction management/inspection firm serving a wide range of clients throughout 40+ offices in the United States. Requirements

  • BA or BS in English, Journalism, or related discipline
  • Five (5) years of experience coordinating, preparing, and producing SF 330‑based submissions and federal pursuit documentation
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Adobe InDesign
  • Demonstrated proficiency with technical writing, as well as reviewing and proofreading of materials for content, grammar, and style
  • Ability to collaborate in a fast-paced team environment with a variety of technical staff and multiple concurrent deadlines

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of database/CRM systems, specifically Deltek Vantagepoint, a plus

Responsibilities

  • Lead the coordination and development of high‑quality proposals for Federal clients
  • Work with technical teams to plan, design, write, edit, and produce compelling solicitation responses, and pursuit materials
  • Support the development and execution of marketing strategies aligned with Federal growth objectives
  • Track, review, and report on pursuit activity and results
  • Maintain accurate, up‑to‑date marketing data and collateral within the CRM
  • Attend conferences, industry events, and team meetings as needed to support federal pursuits
