About The Position

As a Prostate Sales Consultant based in Fargo, ND, you are responsible for driving clinical demand, education, and sales of Nubeqa and Xofigo to medical oncologists, urologists, radiation oncologists, and mid-level healthcare professionals within the Oncology specialty. Your coverage will span North Dakota, South Dakota, Northern Minnesota, and other areas, requiring up to 50% travel within the territory. Ideally, you should be domiciled within the territory, preferably within the Fargo metro area, as it is the center of the territory.

Requirements

  • Relevant specialty pharmaceutical sales, biotech sales, or medical sales experience;
  • Some specialty pharmaceutical sales experience in Oncology;
  • Excellent negotiation skills;
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record;
  • Ability to travel as necessary, including overnight and/or weekend travel;
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills;
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills;
  • Passionate and self-motivated individual;
  • Ability to comply with customer credentialing and safety requirements;
  • Newly hired employees may be subject to further credentialing.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree or 10 years of relevant experience in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree;
  • 5 or more years of relevant specialty pharmaceutical sales, biotech sales, or medical sales experience;
  • Specialty experience in Oncology and Urology strongly preferred;
  • Strong clinical expertise in various tumor types;
  • Ability to sell in adult oncology settings;
  • Experience in launching new products and/or indications;
  • Academic institution or large oncology account selling and relationships;
  • Scientific background and understanding of clinical trials.

Responsibilities

  • Learn and retain in-depth clinical knowledge of various tumor types to educate Healthcare Professionals on the benefits of Bayer medications;
  • Build key office relationships and solicit customer inputs to ensure account needs are met;
  • Positively influence accounts by understanding customer goals and tailoring messaging to address their needs;
  • Strive to deliver sales goals by exploring growth opportunities and reshaping sales strategy based on insights;
  • Review sales data, assess trends, and adjust sales strategy accordingly;
  • Leverage resources, market data, and sales experience to prepare for account conversations;
  • Address account uncertainties by focusing on big picture themes and leveraging peers for business perspective;
  • Build networks and connections by involving cross-functional stakeholders and establishing best practices;
  • Adopt emerging technologies to increase performance and achieve desired results;
  • Commit to learning agility by reflecting on past experiences and gaining insights from peers;
  • Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of accounts and key customers;
  • Apply strategic thinking while developing and maintaining key customer databases;

  • Liaise with Bayer personnel to provide patient and reimbursement support while exceeding sales goals;
  • Develop business plans aligned to strategic brand imperatives with resource allocations linked to strong business results;
  • Be patient-focused and foster strong relationships with healthcare professionals and key opinion leaders;
  • Display strong collaboration and teamwork skills with internal and external stakeholders;
  • Develop a long-term plan to activate accounts via various gatekeepers/influencers;
  • Adhere to company and compliance guidelines, policies, and procedures.
