About The Position

Security Watch. is hiring for a PSO contract at the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) located at 10903 New Hampshire Ave, Silver Spring, Maryland 20993. This is a great opportunity for experienced security professionals to step into key roles as PSOs and lead personnel. The base pay is $37.40 per hour and the Health and Welfare rate is $4.57 per hour, bringing the total hourly compensation to <\/span> $41.97 per hour<\/b>. We are seeking reliable, professional individuals ready to be part of an important federal contract and contribute to a strong team environment.

Requirements

  • Maryland Security Guard License
  • Maryland Handgun Permit
  • At least 21 years old
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Two years of armed security experience (police, law enforcement, civilian, etc.), or 3 to 5 years of military or National Guard (active duty or reserve), or equivalent experience in armed security services
  • Firearm experience
  • DHS Homeland Security Clearance (preferred)
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Fluent in English
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor
  • Ability to provide quality customer service and handle emergencies.
  • Pass a pre -employment background check, drug screen, physical exam, and reference check.
  • Obtain a DHS Suitability Letter Clearance
  • Prior DHS contract PSO experience (preferred)
  • Pass a drug test.
  • Undergo basic medical screening.
  • 21 years of age and a citizen of the United States
  • High school diploma
