A Day in the Life As a Prototype Machinist, you will be a key member of the R&D organization where you will manufacture prototypes to support the development of innovative products to treat spinal pathologies. In this role, you will be responsible to provide the business with implant and instrument prototypes required to support the product design process from ideation through commercialization. This role will not only create prototypes but will also provide manufacturing advice to the R&D team. As a Prototype Machinist, you will be responsible for the production of prototypes and test fixtures as needed to support R&D programs. You will also be responsible for interacting with the engineering and management staffs to advise on design for manufacturability as well as supporting the department’s management by ordering supplies, conducting routine maintenance, and assisting in other areas of the daily operation.
