About The Position

We are currently seeking a highly motivated Provider Relations Specialist in the Houston area who will be responsible for field and office activities in providing education and supporting the IPA’s provider network. The Provider Relations Specialist will be working with contracted providers on managed care operations and ensure compliance with IPA and Health Plan standards. Our Values Put Patients First Empower Entrepreneurial Provider and Care Teams Operate with Integrity & Excellence Be Innovative Work As One Team What You'll Do Routine visits to providers in assigned territory to develop a trusted relationship and maintain open lines of communication between our organization and providers Conduct provider onboarding, orientation, and ongoing educational training throughout the year to ensure providers remain compliant with state, federal regulations and company policies and procedures Collaborate with other departments to ensure provider inquiries are resolved in a timely and effective manner Develop and implement strategies for retention, growth, and marketing within assigned territories Detailed reporting of provider visits, inquiries, trainings, and growth opportunities Problem solve and identify ways to address provider issues timely and effectively Must be able to travel frequently to assigned service area Other duties assigned by department Manager

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of experience preferred
  • 2-3 years experience in provider network scope of services
  • Strong understanding of Managed Care Operations
  • Minimum of 2 years' customer service, provider services or relevant work experience in a healthcare setting
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient computer skills and Microsoft Office programs (i.e., Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
  • Must be able to travel frequently to assigned service area

Responsibilities
