Principal Duties & Responsibilities: Work within a treatment team to help provide coordinated mental/behavioral health care to patients. Provide documentation of patient care in accordance with AWARE policy and professional standards, utilizing AWARE's electronic health record as outlined, trained, and assigned. Create psychiatric care plans and integrate with existing behavioral/psychotherapeutic plans/ Order and interpret appropriate diagnostic tests. Prescribe appropriate psychiatric medications as indicated. Recognize physical health issues and refer for patients for care as necessary. Be available to teams as a resource regarding medications and treatments. Evaluate responses to treatments and medications. Coordinate care with other healthcare professionals both inside and outside of the organization. Act as an advocate for patients both within and outside of the organization. Provide education and support to staff, patients, and families on managing psychiatric illness and disability. Maintain licensure and certification required by AWARE, the State of Montana, and the federal government. Participates in peer/record review process and other quality improvement initiatives as assigned. Performs at or above productivity benchmarks identified by AWARE so that services are sustainable.
