Adventist HealthCare - Behavioral Health seeks to hire an experienced Psychiatric Technician Student who will embrace our mission to extend God’s care through the ministry of physical, mental and spiritual healing. As a Psychiatric Technician Student, you will: Monitor therapeutic treatment milieu Collaborates with the treatment team to develop patient care protocols and procedures. Incorporates clinical guidelines into patient care Actively participates and completes Psychiatric Technician Academy Uses information technology to deliver safe and efficient care Uses critical thinking skills to make clinical judgment and individualize patient care. The Psychiatric Technician Associate is required to attend and successfully complete the Psychiatric Technician Academy. The academy provides the foundation of the role off the psychiatric technician through the use of classroom and didactical learning. Upon completion of the program, the PT Associate has the basic tools needed for the safe and effective delivery of patient-centered care to groups of similar patients. The PT Associate monitors patients through the continuum of care while also striving to advance their own knowledge and skills through careful consideration of feedback and guidance provided by more senior psychiatric technicians and the Clinical Nurse Manager. The Psychiatric Technician Associate demonstrates professionalism and exemplifies the Adventist HealthCare values.

Requirements

  • 0-2 years of clinical experience in acute or sub-acute care setting
  • High school diploma or GED

Nice To Haves

  • For ED Psych position: CNA or prior patient care experience preferred
