As a psychiatrist in our facility, you would provide patient care, physician oversight and expertise, and continuity for our clients and teams. Longview opened in December 2023 as a collaboration between Larimer County and SummitStone - we provide comprehensive, collaborative, and multidisciplinary care for behavioral health and substance use. In addition to the existing Crisis Walk-In Services, Crisis Stabilization Unit (16 adult beds) and Withdrawal Management Unit (16 adult beds), we opened an Adolescent Unit (8 beds for adolescents aged 12-17) in the Fall 2025. The psychiatrist role on the adolescent unit is part-time; a full-time candidate would be willing to also see adults on other units or see adolescents in the outpatient setting. This role involves conducting thorough psychiatric evaluations, developing individualized treatment plans, and providing psychotherapy or medication management to help patients cope with issues such as suicidal ideation, depression, anxiety, ADHD, trauma, substance use, eating disorders, and behavioral problems. The Psychiatrist will work closely with patients, their families, our advanced practice providers, and an interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care and positive outcomes for each patient. This role includes teaching and training students and residents as well as collaborating with other caregivers on the clinical teams. Compassion, strong communication skills, and a deep understanding of behavioral health are key to success in this role.
