About The Position

Arcetyp LLC is looking for a Psychiatrist to support the Government in Japan. This will be an on-site, in-office position with one position located in Yokosuka, Japan. POSITION DUTIES: The Psychiatrist will work closely with clinical staff and/or base personnel regarding patient awareness of mental health wellness programs (addictions, stress management, group therapies). The assigned HCWs shall be on duty in the assigned clinical/on-call area. The assigned HCW shall normally be scheduled for one of the following shifts: Weekday Regular Duty hours: 0730 to 1600 Weekday On-Call Duty Hours: 1600 to 0730 Weekends/Holidays On-Call Duty Hours ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Provide patient consultations requested by Naval Hospital staff health care providers within guidelines established by the Naval Hospital. Deliver records and reports required to document procedures performed and care provided utilizing the Health Maintenance Strategies International Manual (HMSI) standards. Participate in peer review and performance improvement activities. Participate in the implementation of the Family Advocacy Program as directed by government supervisor. Attend and/or comply with all annual training classes required by the Command/Government Supervisor. Actively participate in the command’s Performance Improvement Program. Participate in meetings to review and evaluate the care provided to patients, identify opportunities to improve the care delivered, and recommend corrective action when problems exist. Perform efficiently in emergency patient situations following established protocols, remaining calm, informing appropriate persons, and documenting events. Anticipate potential problems/emergencies and make appropriate interventions. Comply with the standards of The Joint Commission, applicable provisions of law, and the rules and regulations of any and all governmental authorities pertaining to licensure and regulation of health care personnel and medical treatment facilities, the regulations and standards of medical practice and the MTF’s medical staff bylaws. Provide training and/or direction as applicable to supporting government employees (e.g., hospital corpsmen, students, etc.). Operate and manipulate automated systems such as CHCS, AHLTA, ADS, Essentris, and Clinical Information System (CIS), participate in clinical staff Performance Improvement (PI) and Risk Management (RM) functions, as prescribed by the Commander. Attend and participate in various meetings as directed by government supervisor. The HealthCare Worker (HCW) shall comply with the HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) privacy and security policies of the treatment facility. Providers shall obtain/maintain a National Provider Identifier (NPI) in accordance with DOD and MTF policy/instruction, as applicable. https://nppes.cms.hhs.gov/ Perform timely, accurate, and concise documentation of patient care. Maintain documentation of all treatment provided in accordance with clinic directives and prepare such records and reports as may be required. All records and reports must be legible. Abbreviations must be only those listed in local instructions. Provide On-Call services as required, including returning phone calls within 15 minutes of notification. Provide Call-Back services as required, including being able to render services within one hour of notification.

Requirements

  • Have completed a residency training program in Psychiatry and neurology approved by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education or the Committee on Postdoctoral Training of the American Osteopathic Association or those Canadian training programs approved by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada or other appropriate Canadian medical authority.
  • Possess and maintain Board Certification in Psychiatry.
  • Have a minimum of 1-year full-time experience as a Psychiatrist within the last 3 years.
  • HCW shall be in good standing, and under no restrictions, with the state licensure board in any state in which a license is held or has been held within the last 10 years.
  • HCW shall be in good standing and under no sanction or suspension by the Federal Government.
  • Possess and maintain current certification in either the American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Providers or American Heart Association Healthcare Provider Course.
  • Ability to pass all background/suitability checks.
  • A valid driver’s license; ability to travel locally as needed.
  • Min. Citizenship Status Required: U.S Citizenship.
