Psychiatry Child and Adolescent Physician

About the position

Mission Health is seeking a child and adolescent psychiatrist to join our multidisciplinary behavioral health team, located in Asheville, North Carolina. This position is focused on providing care in a 100% inpatient setting at Sweeten Creek, which features a 24 Bed Child & Adolescent Unit. The psychiatrist will work on a 7 On/7 Off schedule with 10-hour shifts, providing Collaborative Care Management (CoCM) consultation with employed primary care integrated clinicians. Please note that this position does not offer visa support.

Responsibilities

• Provide psychiatric care to children and adolescents in an inpatient setting.
• Collaborate with primary care integrated clinicians for CoCM consultation.
• Participate in teaching and supervision as part of the new residency training program through MAHEC.

Requirements

• Board certified or board eligible in Psychiatry with a specialization in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
• Experience with common co-occurring conditions such as trauma spectrum, eating disorders, and substance use disorders.
