About The Position

An exciting opportunity is available for a Psychologist or other Mental Health Clinician to join our dedicated Trauma Recovery Program (TRP) for Military Personnel and First Responders at Ramsay Clinic Hollywood on a casual basis. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a specialised, evidence-based trauma program delivering structured group treatment to veterans and first responders experiencing PTSD and related trauma presentations. Although this is a casual position, the Trauma Recovery Program runs multiple times throughout the year, providing consistent work opportunities. This role is particularly well suited to clinicians seeking to supplement private practice work or diversify their clinical experience within a structured, team-based program in a hospital outpatient environment. In this role, you will: Facilitate structured group therapy within the Trauma Recovery Program Conduct individual reviews and contribute to treatment planning Deliver evidence-based interventions, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality, recovery-oriented care Contribute to the ongoing refinement and evaluation of the program This is dynamic and meaningful work, supporting individuals who have served our communities and country. Peer supervision and clinical support are provided, and training in CPT can be offered to the right candidate seeking to upskill in trauma-focused therapy.

Requirements

  • Current registration as one of the following: Psychologist (AHPRA registered) Mental Health Accredited Social Worker Mental Health Accredited Occupational Therapist Registered Mental Health Nurse Therapist
  • Experience delivering evidence-based psychological interventions for complex mental health presentations including trauma
  • Strong interpersonal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
  • Commitment to trauma-informed and recovery-oriented practice

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with military personnel, veterans, or first responders.
  • Training and/or experience in Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) (Training in CPT can be provided for the right candidate)
  • Demonstrated skills in group facilitation and psychoeducation
  • Experience in a day program, inpatient, or structured group program setting
