Requirements

  • Hold a Master's Degree in Psychology
  • Lead for racial and educational excellence and work to dismantle systems of oppression and inequity in our community, along with believing in and supporting all students so they feel seen and heard with access to high quality education.
  • Live and work with a permanent home address in Colorado while working with us.
  • Have the ability with or without accommodations to meet the physical demands of the position.

Responsibilities

  • Assesses students using psycho-educational assessments and tools and consults with staff and parents, making recommendations for developmentally appropriate services and strategies to assist in improving student achievement
  • Participates in crisis management by counseling and/or making referrals
  • Counsels students and parents (in groups and individually) and consults with staff in the development of appropriate behavior goals
  • Develops individual and group problem-solving techniques and interpersonal relation skills
  • Provides a climate within which parents, students, and staff can gain assistance with problems
  • Evaluates student learning needs
  • Assists in the development and maintenance of strong home-school links and resource information
  • Interprets test data; researches available tests necessary to meet individual school needs; provides in-service training for staff on standardized administration techniques; and interprets individual and group test data to staff and parent
  • Records treatment, response, and progress in student charts or enters information electronically
