About The Position

The Psychometric Rater manages psychometric rating activities across multiple neurological clinical trials (i.e. Dementia, Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s Disease), ensuring adherence to study protocols and effective communication with clinical staff, sponsors, and patients. The role includes conducting clinical interviews with participants and caregivers/study partners and administering and scoring standardized neuropsychological assessments in accordance with protocol requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in psychology or a related field; Master's degree, preferred.
  • Minimum two years of experience in administering structured assessments or roles involving aging patient populations.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Reporting to work, as scheduled, is essential.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience testing patients with Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s disease preferred.
  • Experience with common rating scales (e.g., ADAS Cog, ADCS ADL, CDR, CGI, C SSRS, GDS, MDS UPDRS, MoCA, MMSE, RAVLT, RBANS, WAIS IV).

Responsibilities

  • Administers and scores standardized cognitive and neuropsychological assessments following study protocols and GCP.
  • Conducts clinical research consensus rounds concerning accurate signal detection with clinical subject ratings.
  • Conducts interviews with participants and caregivers/study partners, building rapport with individuals who may have cognitive or motor impairments.
  • Ensures assessments are administered ethically, consistently, and accurately.
  • Maintains test security, data integrity, and participant confidentiality.
  • Completes accurate and timely source documentation, including sponsor-required documentation.
  • Responds to questions and feedback related to rating assessments and study queries.
  • Participates in assessment of prescreened and screening patients per PI discretion and as per protocol.
  • Supports the Principal Investigator (PI) and study team in maintaining high-quality data.
  • Performs routine quality checks of psychometric ratings and participate in research consensus meetings.
  • Monitors participant safety and appropriately escalates potential concerns per company policy.
  • Communicates professionally with participants, study staff, sponsors/CROs, monitors, and auditors.
  • Tracks and manages testing resources, equipment and space for psychometric data collection.
  • Completes required study specific trainings in a timely manner.
  • Supports and ensures strictest adherence to best practices, FDA Code of Federal Regulations, ICH (International Conference of Harmonization), GCP (Good Clinical Practices), CenExel standard operating procedures, site working Practices, protocol, and company guidelines and policies.
  • Assumes other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
